Anti-Buglar Glass

Engineered for enhanced protection, Anti-Burglar Glass resists impact and intrusion for safer residential and commercial environments.

Product Overview:

The P8B classification represents the ultimate level of protection against manual attack under the EN 356 European standard. While lower grades (P1A–P5A) are designed to resist blunt impacts from falling objects, the B-series (P6B–P8B) is engineered to stop “smash and grab” or forced entry attempts using heavy tools like sledgehammers and axes.

Performance Specifications:

The primary metric for P8B glass is its ability to resist the creation of an aperture (opening) through which an intruder could pass.

Understanding the EN 356 Test Method

The test for P8B is rigorous and mechanized to ensure consistency. It simulates a “worst-case” manual assault:

Note: While the standard requires “over 70” strikes, premium P8B glass often withstands significantly more (sometimes up to 15-20 minutes of continuous manual assault) before failure.
